I don't know if this was actually made by AI, but I do know I want to see this movie.

And the news is filled with lots of statements to not do really stupid things (like don't jump into moving water, don't go toward the flooded areas, don't go outside and hangout under trees), so apparently, people are doing really stupid things.

Still a few hours before Helena gets here; it still seams OK here. However, rain is no longer falling vertically, but at an angle. Lots of reports of rescues in town -- didn't realize there were areas in town that flooded that easily. And some injuries, but no deaths in the metro (3 further south).

Have now heard repeatedly--from the news, from the Governor--not to touch downed power lines. Now what am I going to do for fun?

We've reached the equinox, meaning, you have until the end of the day to put up your Halloween decorations. Get to it!

Your acceptance speech, as read by your aunt, was unfortunately all too relevant to life here in Georgia. I know people who live by Apalachee High School so it was certainly on my mind a great deal in the days after this shooting.

Look at what arrived this week! It still doesn't feel real. So much love to @fosteronfilm.bsky.social and the whole Eugie Award jury for this great honor.

The Eugie Foster Memorial Award: A beautiful metalwork mask with wings mounted on a wooden plaque. It is engraved with the following text:
Eugie Foster Memorial Award 2024
"The Sound of Children Screaming"
Rachael K. Jones

A small metalwork pin sits beside the plaque, featuring the same mask design.

Roland Emmerich is planning to remake LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. He will call it LAWRENCE IN ARABIA as it will be more about the characters being IN Arabia. Emmerich said that... out loud. No. Just, no. If I was making a list of films never to remake, this would be at the top (or should I say IN the top?).
