My biggest realization of the last few years has been that people on the right-wing don't just condone violence, they love it. They are absolutely tickled pink by seeing protestors/dems/gays being beaten by the police, and only wish they could do it themselves.

Hence all these anti-trans bathroom bills and such; it gives them an excuse to assault people who they assume are trans.
