Ever wonder how big a 'giant' springtail is? @mesofauna.bsky.social found this gnarled old Holacanthella duospinosa today, measuring a whopping 12 mm in length (most springtails are less than 5 mm). I've seen so many amazing things this weekend - a flood of soil animal photos is incoming! 🧪
