So I am just curious - what were you like in school and were you popular? I make no secret of the fact that I was a very unpopular bullied kids but I'm always curious about other folks and whether they had this experience or something totally different

My perception at the time: I was teased constantly and singled out and unpopular. In retrospect: I was teased quite a bit, but at recess, when I had a new story to narrate into a game to play, half the class was immediately on board.

Unpopular bullied kid, then popularish kid at a new school in hs, huge stoner that sold pot from age 12 to 18

I was by no means “cool” but I had lots of friends who were also in the band/choir/theater/honor roll world. The popular kids were generally neutral-nice to me, with a few exceptions.

I generally kept to my own and a small group of friends. Participated in some unpopular extra curriculares like cross country and stage crew. After graduation most of my friends fell off and didn't keep in touch. I've come a long way since then

I was a bit square/boffin type at secondary school. Did well academically, involved with lots of music, choir, played for most sports teams. Luckily I was in a nice form/wing of the school rather than the 'cool' not so kind side. Went elsewhere for 6th form, involved with all the committees etc.

Very solidly a choir/theater/gaming nerd. Not popular, but also not bullied like other kids. I had some talent but kept to my lane so the popular kids largely left me alone. I stayed under their radar most of the time.

I was not a Cool Girl and I yearned for boyfriends, but I had friends! Looking back I was just…lord so awkward, with raging undiagnosed ADHD and big Weird Kid energy. But people thought I was funny? Idk.

People liked me, but I wouldnt say I was popular. Wasnt bullied I liked the kids that were (as I put it internally) weirdos like me. Which ended up being all the ND kids. Most the other stuff was sort of boring to me I was encouraged to do Running (OR) & ended up friends with those folks too

Didn't really consider myself popular, but everyone knew me, knew not to mess with me, and sought me out for advice on due to my reputations and it being a small school. Spent the last two years of Highschool in a different school and there I was in a much more comfortable and less conspicuous spot.

I was extremely socially awkward and probably would have been bullied more if not for the fact that I was over 6 feet tall by like age 14 and outweighed all the other dudes
