In a few years, politicians like Keir Starmer will be claiming “nobody could’ve known Israel was committing genocide”. They’ll deny everything they did and said to enable it. They’ll even try and claim they opposed it. Just like UK politicians did with South African apartheid.

When I think of twitter/X's decline & growth of bluesky I think of Berkana Institute’s Two Loops model of #systemchange. You don't have to create a new thing from scratch as you keep useful bits from previous system. Also plurality is key to change: big role for conveners, storytellers & guides.
