i agree!!! whenever i see a thread like this im always left with the thought that a young trans woman who is scared of the world will go out confidently after reading smth like this and then get her soul crushed and pull away or detrans, instead of us just preparing her for the reality we live in.

I however am yet to meet a trans woman who suffers from an excess of optimism in this world, but I will admit to not knowing them all. What I've seen on the contrary is a tendency to live recluse lives which in turn cause more harm.
