i am so, so tired of every mail service always having to confirm "it's really you" cuz 99% of the times it has actually made it way harder to actually verify it's me. why isnt it enough to just put your password and be let in. why even have passwords then

why is it that always, without fail, what they ask for, are things im no longer able to do?? i lost my phone so of course every single recovery option needs me to use that phone number
