Boeing just cut healthcare coverage for its 33,000 striking workers. Healthcare being tied to employment is simply another means for control. Cutting off medical access to thousands of people, many of whom are on life saving medications, is violence. It needs to end.

Boeing is a government contractor, these actions should be illegal. Those employees may now apply for coverage through Healthcare.gov and the US taxpayers may have to subsidize their coverage.

“Health (insurance) being tied to employment…” Is one of the reasons why the US is *not* The Greatest Nation On Earth (TM).
Employer health insurance is a problem for many reasons, including the one you mentioned, but I think it's a main cause for high health care cost. It's taxless comp, which incentives covering as much as possible. But compare cost of insurance covered vs. over-the-counter drugs and surgery over time.
