like idk that the creator necessarily set out to do a cathartic meditation on cruelty and inevitability. i think he just wanted to do gore. but i think the way that the film operates it gives me that kind of feeling

Sometimes imo what people intuitively make can have like “deeper” (if that’s the right word) meaning intended or not. Kinda like how people kinda subconsciously dress with allegiance towards different subcultures. Style as substance kind of. Probably wasn’t like, a “statement” film tho lol
