I'm so old, I remember steaming cooling towers being the landmarks of many a long journey. I know it's time for it to go, but I'll miss it when they finally blow it up.

We're not far from the watershed of the Severn & Trent on the Shrops/Staffs border. These places dominate the landscape so much. We could see a couple of plumes from Rugeley? & West Burton from the high ground nearby & as a kid I remember seeing Ferrybridge, Drax & Eggborough from the N York's Moors
