Similarly, at the Southern California Cal state universities very, very few geology grads (if any) have gone into oil and gas for the past 5 to 10 years. Most jobs are environmental, engineering or GIS related.

According to AGI geoscience graduates have been moving into non-O&G sectors since 2016-2017(plot below for MS degrees). For what it is worth, our undergrad and grad enrollments are up, but no O&G recruiters for years.
