I mean, I think disney or whomever should still have rights to the IP, like how disney owns modern Mickey but doesn't own video of steamboat Willie anymore. But copyright should be reformed (shortened) anyway

normally yeah the ip should stay with whoever probably, but if the zazlav's of the world are going to keep vaulting the work of thousands of other people for a minor quarterly tax writeoff or w/e then i do think we need to introduce some kind of eminent domain clause around that specifically
