A mermaid I created named Coralia. The Great Barrier Reef in Australia was my inspiration for the setting. Done on 14x17” Fabriano Bristol vellum. In the enchanted woods there is a Mushroom village and one of its residents is Tilia. She makes potions and food with the shrooms and fairy berries that surround her. She stands by her toadstool house to watch out for hawks and owls and to greet visitors. Made on 11”x14” Artist Loft level 3 professional mixed media paper. My latest illustration. This character I created name is Uehara Sachiko and she is from Okinawa (formally known as the Ryukyu Kingdom. She is a Onnaodori (female dancer) and is wearing a Bingata (Ryukyuan kimono). Done on 9x12 Fabriano Bristol Vellum paper.
