If you aren't familiar with the Ace Attorney series, this is Ema. She loves the idea of science, though she clearly has no idea what science is. She also loves really neat technology. She is a great character. And this is an epic drawing of her.

I had been thinking I would write this from the perspective of an inspector from a rival insurance firm trying to figure out how they keep prices so low, but no. The inspector was sent by the company's re-insurer to figure out why they re-insure themselves to such wildly different amounts each year.
Okay, I'm not sure how to pull this short story idea off: An insurance company was trying to invent military androids, but accidentally built a time portal to the future. Now, no one knows why this one company is able to keep their rates so low, but it's driving everyone else out of business.
