I wonder how they phrased their questions? I work for a CA transit agency, and when our buses don't show on time, a customer might rideshare from the bus stop. But that's not really the same thing as *replacing* a transit trip IMO.

Washington DC metro conducted this type of survey often. DC metro breaks down at least 3x per day resulting in rideshare. The questions were leading & poorly phrased. Would bet 💵 totally useless results in CA
