Learned a lot of Chinese history from this one, which is a nice bonus
What’s funny is that they still couldn’t quite do it. According to a friend from Norway, there’s a few places where they didn’t include the Norwegian word, and some questionable word choice. But they wanted one sentence for all of Scandinavia too badly so they shipped it lol
I say this as a (former-ish) classical music snob who regular rocks out to the Buxtehude’s organ works while I work
Nonetheless I had a great time with this game. Overall I’d say I don’t like this game as much as FF12, making it my second favorite Final Fantasy game so far.
The GBA version is also the only one that features 4 bonus dungeons that unlock as you progress the game, which have tons of floors that appear in a random order and really tough bosses that give great items. They can be a fun challenge at best and a frustrating slog at worst.
It’s very D&D inspired; you start the game making a team of 4, each of which has 1 of 6 classes. Not much story or characters but very fun to explore, if you can look past the high encounter rate. Not very difficult and you can basically steamroll the game once your characters get their promotions.
Many bemoan the loss of the headphone jack on most phones, I am still grieving the loss of the little hook to which I’d attach my little alligator strap
