Look, if Bluesky's main innovation on social media culture ends up being that it's a place where we block/mute rather than being rage-farmed for "engagement'.... Hallelujah, I am so here for that. I think by the time ppl got the memo on Twitter the ragefarm culture was already settled...

Must admit I've been blocking a lot lately - my patience quota has re-set to zero... 🙄

I do wish they'd make it *easier* to Block/Mute people at least having to go onto the person's page to do it is such a pain, not sure why it can't just be done from the post itself

I am all for discussions and reasonable debate. But there is no point in engaging with a dishonest rage farmer who wont have a honest discussion

I wish this was my experience with bluesky but I've had to unfollow a lot of people I like because they ragefarmed posts by accounts with like two followers and I got attacked in the replies for saying they were platforming hateful bigots.

I’ve long said that in Dark Souls the leveling up is as much in the player as the character. In that sense we’ve all gotten gud at social media.

ragefarming cant really work here sense you can curate your own feeds. The reason rage farming worked on twitter is because For you page cant be removed. Lost track how many times I thought "I like thing" then the for you page is like "We saw you like thing. Heres 20 people who hates it"

I'm not trying to say Bluesky (or anywhere) is perfect, but I see a lot of people pushing and implementing this vital vital practice of "block/mute people who make you unhappy instead of making them famous" and instilling that as the site grows will make a big difference.
