The chicago delicacies I have seen so far terrify me from the looks and descriptions but hey I haven't tried any yet

I live in Oregon, and had never had a Chicago style hotdog in Chicago until a few years ago. I didn't understand the appeal until I tried it, but it's actually very good. There's more vegetable matter than hotdog on the bun. Certainly worth a try if you ever find yourself in Chicago.

You gotta try some Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Granted most people will consider it offensive to call it a Pizza, but it's absolutely a good time.
