Epic the musical is in fact a very nice musical based on the Odyssey by Homer with a pretty chill fanbase. At least in the musical, unsure about the actual story, there are these creatures who eat a lotus fruit that basically controls their mind and makes them chill little lotus obssesed stoner pups

So from what I remember from The Odyssey, the Lotus Eaters just chill and vibe out, but not want to leave the island, which absolutely does sound like what happens when one eats a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza.
