Got into a fan service for video games discussion and my views boil down to this 1) does it make sense for the character/world 2) is it equal opportunity 3) is it player directed These aren't hard and fast but I find the best fan service tends to check "yes" on at least two

I *like* fan service! I think sexy characters are great! And if you want to put your characters in chainmail bikinis just because I'm not gonna stop you. There's room for all sorts of games, I just acknowledge some aren't for me (I wish everyone could do that)
