Ahhh, that is encouraging! Yeah no worries, I don't mean to trash it so much as indicate surprise that it still existed 😅 I'm glad it does! I imagine its a lot simpler than people -say-, I'm just sensitive to the fact that if I'm gonna put energy into an app I want it to be the one catching on
Oh dang! This seems great for the future. Right now accounts are new enough and I'm following few enough that it's not making too wide a difference, but I'd have LOVED something like this back when the other place was useable.
I'll keep it in mind and would jump on if the wind starts blowing that way, basically. But while this place -works-, its enough.
Anecdotal, but that experience is why it didn't cross my path in this particular exodus. All of a sudden 90 people were posting about this place, so, here I came. 🤣
Yeah, I have no -personal- opinion as I have not looked at it. More specifically, this is the first mention of it I have seen since 2023, when it got tossed around a lot and there was a 1:1 ratio of all of my Tech Brain friends saying 'Ooh!' and all of my non-Tech Brain friends saying 'Oh god, no'
That would be the 'too complicated to hit the masses' one, judging by every conversation I've ever witnessed about it (generally featuring 1-2 enthused people and everybody else saying 'no, we don't have the energy to try and understand this').
So if I'm gonna play it, I should save it for a stream slot, not for personal time?
