I am now deadass broke in the final dungeon and laughing my head off the game had the balls to do that.

I love funny hostile design towards a player when you play it completely straight. If the game already doesn't take itself seriously and throws something like that, that's just adding onto the experience. Dungeon Encounters does shit like this too with a thieving rat that puts you in debt.
