My horizon is slowly receding behind me. I admit that for me retirement is a challenge. I am still writing and intend to continue. The challenge lies in the isolation without a substantive institutional home.

I can see that. If things don’t start to go seriously wrong at my institution I still have a few years to go, but I will definitely have to prepare for that moment.
