Yes!! The casting decision made me uncomfortable, especially given that it felt like the primary queer representation. Made the "be who you really are" theme feel brittle, and seemed to play into "libs want to turn your kids gay/trans and brainwash them into the woke hivemind" rhetoric.

Sources have conflicts of interest. Every reporter and editor must deal with that dynamic. But we expect reporters and editors to weigh the public value of information against the interests of sources, who are almost always driven by outside motives. Is that what Meta/X are doing?
