Hurricane Milton is not "the storm of the century". It is just the beginning. Unless we stop pouring greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, such devastating events will become commonplace - and ever more horrific.
Well it's this week's storm of the century, we seem to have one every week....
The saddest part is that carbon dioxide takes 50 years to disappear from the atmosphere. So even if we stopped RIGHT NOW this century is already screwed. We're acting for our grandchildren at best.
I have a feeling they will never admit it even as we disappear beneath the water or burn to a crisp.
The ‘storm of the century’ so far. Just like Covid was a ‘once in a generation’ event…
The Storm of the Century. .... Until next year.
Too late. Even if we were to drastically reduce our carbon footprint we've already passed the "tipping point". It would take years of carbon reduction to make a reasonable impact.
Or if countries or companies stopped trying to alter our weather , which happens daily
It’s the storm of the century SO FAR. Cue Simpsons gif…
Alt: A cartoon Homer Simpson talking to Bart with the words The Worst Day of Your Life So Far
Imagine how giddy the news corps are that they’ll get to say every storm going forward is the NEW storm of the century
Hurricanes sure aren't the kind of thing that you can ride out while sitting by the fireplace
