Now is a good time to remind ourselves that Trump lies about everything. His weight, his golf prowess, his crowd sizes, his wealth, and yes, the 2020 election. It is ironic and sad that among GOP voters who value “honesty” in a candidate, Trump still rates the highest. Says a lot, huh?
He's totally honest—where "honest" is defined as saying things he pretends are true because his followers wish they were.
A recent poll showed that MAGA trusts him over their own friends and family. It's a cult.
The same level of confusion with what words actually mean as when they claim to not be racist.
Not to mention the adultery, one if the ten deadly sins for goodness sake, yet the evangelicals seem hooked on the guy. I will never understand that thinking.
I suspect that what GOP voters value is someone honestly expressing their hatred for anyone they see as being inferior.
It just means they like what he says. Get rid of immigrants, imprison more of 'certain people', re-enslave women, lock up political opponents, threaten to bomb rival countries, use violence to win, etc It's simple brutish fascism.
