The very notion of a particular nation having a "common blood" to begin with is an absurd re-imagining and hyper-essentialization of history, genetics, ethnography, and doubtless several other areas of learning. It is a notion steeped entirely in violence, capital, and exclusion, not fact.
A society that wastes its energy on "purity" us missing the opportunity to gain strength by assimilating people with different views and different skills.

Exactly. We are lost if we do not strive for the standards we put forth in our Constitution. Standards that we are still working toward, but can be swiftly fleeting. We’ve committed atrocities on our own soil, it is always a breath away. “Indian” schools, Japanese-American internment, Roe..a breath.
