What I don't understand with this trope is how those allegedly *stealing the dogs and cats and geese* are actually supposed to eat them? The Springfield Haitians have jobs and homes, so are they using an oven? MAGAs seem to imagine some half-clothed "savages" tearing the pets apart raw in the woods
The biggest weird thing about the whole "stealing ducks and geese" thing is how many millions of duck and geese hunters exist within the politically-conservative American communities...and how many of *them* poach ducks and geese out of season because "fuck the government" or something.
Trust me- Nobody wants this smoke in the park... (Side note- when my daughter told me she loved this painting- made taking her to Europe totally worthwhile)
Not completely true. It is a different Steve Martin who made the comment. Still a valid response to the ridiculous suggestion that geese are being carried away.
