Kīlauea is erupting again, and there are great live views RIGHT NOW of lava fountaining in the crater from one of the USGS webcams. The eruption is currently confined to the crater. ⚒️🧪

Hot damn, I was in Hilo during a 5.9 from the volcano in 2018. Had to hold the computer on my desk so it wouldn’t tip over. Hope Pele doesn’t mess up the roads too bad.

I wish civilians could get closer to Kilauea like you can in Iceland. Not sure if rom road is back open but IIRC you can’t see it from visitors center
