Lavoisiane Ferreira: The Scripps approach for InSAR-GNSS combination uses a dynamic datum model (integrating secular rates and transients, fitting a parametric model at each GNSS station), to generate predicted horizontal motions, and then removing them from the InSAR, leaving just the verticals.

Roland Bürgmann: We have ample evidence for time dependent deformation in geodetic time series – postseismic deformation, hydrological signals, and hints of temporal variations in creep rates that hint at changes in fault coupling. All these mechanisms affect fault loading and earthquake potential.
