that's so funny bc as far as we know the silly movie that deadpool & wolverine is would still be selling like water if it still was in the theaters

they made the perfect lotr adaptation and decided to ruin the rest of this adaptations legacy guess i understand why some folks rather have the old tv series or even just the animation

Couldn't have put into better words. They literally could have invested so much and deeply into The Silmarillion, as were rumours when they pitched a series. They could have even theater premiere and finales. It's LOTR, it would never flop if given the PJackson trilogies treatment, but these... idk
