Bombs are key to getting those 1CCs if those are a goal (playing just to get clears w/ continues is a v valid way to play after all—games are supposed to be fun!). Sure, raw dodging skill is important, but that just makes bombs even better to use— they let you "dodge" needing to dodge lol.
Good eye---Sanae is also super powerful, yeah! Her snakes are pretty decent at homing, frogs are good damage, and her bomb can delete spell cards along with giving a good amount of invincibility! Bomb only gets more crazy with Byakuren's scroll too if you're lucky enough to grab that
Reimu's prolly the best shot type in UM. IME Mari doesn't outdamage her by that much & stage 5 is hell with Mari during that section w/ the enemies coming from behind I was only able to clear with Mari when I finally got the third card slot lol GL! Just remember you're getting better w/ each run!

UM can def be challenging! Took me something like 60 attempts to get a Marisa 1CC on normal😅 I ended up just grinding easy clears until I had all cards unlocked and all the preset slots so I could pray to RNG for a broken build Best of luck defeating rainbow capitalism: gensokyo edition 🫡
