I like it on TV shows where they have to get into a tech company's offices and they dupe a keycard etc. Mate, just wait by the door with a Red Bull and say you forgot your card to literally anyone that enters. GTA5 almost got it right.
Yea it can work. There's more ways to use space than just to cram it with lore and activities. RDR2 felt fine because the scenery and sense of isolation were big parts of the game. It comes down to doing things for a reason. Making a big world to brag about surface area... probably not good.
