I've now had several people imply to me that it's a bad thing that fewer people are dying from COVID-19 because it means that more people may be at risk of Long COVID and just...wow Priorities, people. Alive is pretty much always better than dead

That's astonishing. I guess I can see why someone *on a personal level* might have that preference for themselves, but how on earth could you make that judgment on behalf of other people, or on behalf of society as a whole?

Easy explanation: Those people don’t want to support any disabled people. The dead are cheaper.
