A judge here, at one of those quasi-social get-togethers where defense attorneys get face time with judges, told a bunch of defense attorneys that once a defendant has been indicted, the burden shifts to the defense attorney to prove them innocent. This is a sitting judge on the criminal bench.

and yet I wonder what this judge thinks of Trump.... wait, no I don't.

I wish that shocked me. I had to remind one of our current state supreme court justices that a person is not guilty until they have been convicted. Just being accused doesn't count. A short time after that, I watched as another defense lawyer had to make the same reminder to the same justice.
