For more examples of this, look at animation smear frames! Remember: animation is just a collection of still drawings in motion. It sounds kind of obvious, but there's tons of stuff like this hidden in large movements to make it flow!

The way i like to think about it is as if everything i draw is covered in a tiny layer of water. Whenever i need to draw movement i just draw the way the water would move and bend and flow but with hatching
