Can we all agree that Legally Blond is a movie about the fact that lawyers from Ivy Leagues are not very smart but very arrogant? That seems the obvious message to me but online I read so many things about other themes in the movie...
Hard truth: Marie Curie fellows are like "oh I'm a visiting researcher at Harvard/MIT" and they feel they're better than everyone else, but everyone at Harvard/MIT/Random Ivy just see them as the weird Europeans coming with their own funding who are still postdocs at 40.
True! But also perfectionist authors wanting to write a piece that fits perfectly... when sometimes less perfection would be better!
My controversial opinion is that a done paper is better than a perfect paper, so I like it more if people are on time with manuscripts for edited volumes etc etc rather than them being late with a more polished piece
