Finally received the One UI 6.1 update late yesterday for my S23+ w/'Circle to Search'. I've been testing it out. I really like it & can see using it often. Just long-press on the home button, circle an object on your screen, and boom, Google provides more info with the ability to add to your query.
Well there you go. I'm seeing this too. Check it today to see how much, or how little, traffic you are getting from Copilot. :) Just checked a few sites that get a ton of traffic overall and the largest number I saw was about 1,500 visits over the past 90 days from Copilot.
This is causing quite the stir -> Google wants to use SGE to build travel itineraries for vacations "When users ask for “plan me a 3-day trip to Philadelphia that’s all about history,” they will get a sample itinerary that includes attractions & restaurants, as well as flights and hotels..."
Google is rolling out an update to its Search Generative Experience (SGE) that will allow users to get travel itineraries and trip ideas.
Forget about Google's documentation & the QRG. Think of users arriving on your site. IS THERE ANY SITUATION WHERE THEY MIGHT WANT TO LEARN ABOUT YOU OR CONTACT YOU? **THEN ADD AN ABOUT PAGE & CONTACT PAGE**. It can be extremely frustrating for users when they don't find that information...
I also didn't believe Google was supporting avif yet, but just tested some searches with filetype operator in Google Images and that did return avif files. Interesting. See screenshots below. Maybe Google is starting to support them?? www.seroundtable.com/google-searc...

There are many moving parts w/this situation & shows the power of the Sep HCU. Site was pummeled by it, then more of a drop with the core update, then had a pure spam manual action. I would have to see what they did to get that lifted, but pure spam is not an easy one to get lifted or recover from
Visibility trending for a site impacted by a pure spam manual action recently, & had the manual action lifted on 3/21. No change at all. They are still heavily down. But also worth noting that this site was also heavily impacted by the Sep HCU(X) & we know how that's going for sites impacted...
Google's John Mueller reiterates how providing content by geo can impact SEO From John: "Google generally crawls from one location - & that's the content which would be used for Search. If you want something to be indexed, you need to make sure it's shown there (or shown globally)..."
Google's John Mueller answers: Does showing different content based on the site visitor's country impact SEO?
