Do you normally do roughs in sketchbook then remake on the board?Guessing with the experience you have, are thumbnails necessary anymore for page layout?

I don't do it for every page. I'll only do it only occasionally. I used to do it for entire issues and I was finding that I'd lose the energy in the process. These days I'll only do it if I'm stuck and need to try out a few options.
