Language around transition is often about hating and killing the person you were and, in a lot of cases, were never meant to be (ex. deadnames). I would never judge anyone who feels distaste or violence toward their past selves, but I want to believe there's another path for me.

And having Gly as the face of my cismale self makes me want to work harder to not hate that person. Because, like, look at him! I can't imagine not suiting up as Gly ever again. I can't imagine not loving Gly, not identifying with some aspects of him, no matter where life takes me.
