I've always wondered that same question! I could never find one. The best I heard was because it provides a springboard to complex line graphs.
That looks awesome. I love the Makerbots! What settings do you have it set to so it doesn't have all the bridging?

Thank you for sharing! That would be great to hear from someone else! We started with spaghetti towers, then went to a small lesson on catapults, then to cars powered by different energy sources. We are on 3D print now in collaboration with our visitor's center.
Love those! Do y'all have a specific resource that is used to help make planning easier or do you piece together from different resources for the class? I'm a STEM teacher to for middle school and high school.
