every time i read a “hard hitting” interview w/harris it explains why she won’t talk to them. she is the vice president of the united states, a former senator and attorney general of the state of california, and her interlocutors behave as if it is their duty to interview her for an entry level job

It appears that the people who are complaining the loudest about Harris not giving interviews are, for the most part, self-entitled journalism cosplayers who decided to elect themselves Popes of the Press and got upset that she wasn't kissing their ring.

Harris earned her law degree 35 years ago, turns 60 in three weeks, and absolutely, they're treating her like a jumped-up intern

Having politicians interviewed by reporters who specialize in politics that has yielded significantly worse results than if they were interviewed by reporters who specialized in literally anything else.

This is partly due to race and gender stuff, obviously I think it's also because they themselves lack the competences to conduct the interview at a higher level

I have had interviews for temp jobs that were less patronizing than the ones Harris has had with CNN and the NYT

I have a journalism degree. Couple things about that: it's generally considered an easy degree, no hard math or science required, and back in the day, a lot of those people just wanted to be on TV, ie they were kind of shallow and not into the whole speaking truth thing.
