This in-progress series was inspired by an M. John Harrison post. It said "Pictures that invite a narrative but work better without one." and I thought it would make for a brilliant anti-worldbuilding visual approach of sorts.
Chris van Allsberg did a whole book of this concept, the “legend” being that a man named Harris Burdick dropped off some illustrations at an editor’s office, said he’d be back in 5 minutes with the stories to go with them, and vanished.
