A (not so) new front on the Indo Pacific and South China Sea, as Vietnam uses some well-roaded strategies there: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Csok...

On my quest to crack the code on what makes an article “IO worthy” (I.e., reading an IO paper a day, recent issues first), this one stood out for its relevance in terms of consequences of (revisionist) nationalism. Amazing stuff. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

So apparently there is a recording available from our Public Forum panel session on trade agreements and sustainability. Posting in case it's of interest. Interesting info on the WTO's upcoming tool on RTAs. To be launched towards the end of this year www.wto.org/audio/pf24se...

Trade adjusts to tariffs. Although tariff revenue from Chinese imports grew following the implementation of the Trump tariffs, its share of total US tariff revenue declined in recent years as trade shifted to other countries. #PIIECharts#EconSkywww.piie.com/research/pii...

The total value of US imports from China peaked in 2018 and has fluctuated a bit below that level since. Tariff revenue from Chinese imports as a share of all imports peaked in 2021 and has declined since.

I recently started to track new habits in order to be healthier and more productive (?). Stuff like meditating, tracking calories, set wake-up time + working schedule. After 40 days of success, now I gotta try to read all IO issues (1 paper/day). Living it like a TikTok challenge or something.
