Tackled Soma for Bulletpoints. It’s a game about death that isn’t really about suicide and a game about afterlives that isn’t really about religion. I work through how that colors the game’s existentialism and its metaphors of wholeness and transformation.

Incredible article grace. Soma is not only one of my favorite narratives in games, but one of my favorites in all fiction. It feels like the other half of the same coin to Outer Wilds, the comfort in the inevitability of the end.
