Thing is, TV isn’t very good right now. They’ve always sucked, but they got way more buzz back when Mad Men was getting all those nominations.

Last year I thought was a good year for TV. This year has been kinda thin, I think because of the writers strike. But all that said... I also think the generation of Prestige TV that's photocopying the 00s generation is not very strong, and most of my favorite shows are comedies or comedy-like.

Still felt like an also-ran ceremony compared to the Oscars even in those days. But it's true, TV is so fragmented now and movies are starting to get a little more communal again
