No, don't believe so. Waipuna Halswell Hornby Riccarton CB referred part of the Church Corner project to council after having two votes and a NoM and failing to find a solution. Waipapa voted no on referring their clearway delegation on Thursday

But the numbers are not even across the city. Areas that have had less investment are lagging behind. It shows the council needs to continue the major cycleway route building programme to give more transport options to people across the city.

Tomorrow the Waipapa Papanui Innes Central Community board will consider whether to refer the delegation of decision maker for a clearway, giving all the power back to council instead of with the local board.

Not aware of any vote on the matter or any blocking it. Best way is probably email your councilor and the councilor for the central city to let them know your thoughts. And the Mayor!

P.S. If anything, we believe building townhouses on this section is underutilising this valuable land - we would love to see an apartment building, in the style of Ockham Residential or Simplicity Living.

We support Philip Carter building new homes in the city centre, and urge CCC to show common sense and remove heritage listing on the cottage. Heritage is important but this abandoned cottage is not it. We believe more residents in the central city creates a safer, more prosperous, more liveable city

We think the CCC submission had sound criticism of the draft GPS for the lack of PT investment in Ōtautahi and reduced investment for the walking/cycling and PT activity classes. It also requested Halswell Road, PT Futures and MRT be included in the Canterbury package which are vital to PT here.

We regret the unnecessary and costly delay in implementing MDRS provisions and will continue to advocate for this broad upzoning to affordably unlock quality housing supply within our existing urban footprint.

This plan change will help share the amenity and cost-burden of our most well-serviced neighbourhoods among more residents, in turn improving the viability and diversity of businesses and community facilities - making for a more interesting and liveable city for all.
