There will be staff with no accrued leave (especially as this is really short notice) who are forced to take leave w/out pay, so no income coming in to pay for necessities, let alone family celebrations. #NZpol , this is one of the best explanations of the issues going on in our health system right now. What happened? We properly staffed medical care, and it turns out we didn't budget for that. 6 months of obsfucation come down to this. And we could fix it with additional cash, i.e. taxes.
