That is such an awesome concept for a library to have.
Selling off one lot would help pay for repairs/rennovations. I hope someone keeps and repairs the house just so that a little bit more of the old soul of the city remains. Seattle has changed so much from what I remember.
I admit that it's a neat house, but I hate that the listing is marketing it as an "investor opportunity!"
Anything that didn't make the cut would be shipped off for recycling. I, personally, don't agree with a company firing an employee because they could find use for old equipment. Especially if it doesn't contain potentially sensitive data like monitors.
I used to work for an IT asset retirement company. We would be contracted to come pick up the old equipment and be the contractor to supply the new. The old equipment would be sorted through, anything that was in decent condition/salvageable would be cleaned and tested, then sold off.
