It has actually reopened the whole debate about animals in circuses in Italy .... let's hope it gets somewhere.

Poor mite. This is still the case here in France too, but in the 8 years we've been here, things have begun to change. Locals are complaining. Finally. I saw lions in cages in the full summer heat some years ago. Thankfully, it's becoming rare. There's no need these days.
